The best thing about being on maternity leave this time around (apart from spending quality time with my girls) is that all of my girlfriends have had babies recently and/or work part time and we can get together with all the kids. How times have changed from when we used to get together and go out!

Carnivale fun
We went to the Hills Carnivale on the weekend. It was a great afternoon and Charlotte had heaps of fun. Olivia pretty much slept through the whole thing!
After the Carnivale on the weekend, Charlotte was so exhausted she fell asleep in the car as soon as we left.
First fire of the season
Play time
We took Charlotte and Olivia for a walk through the village the other day. Charlotte usually sits on the front of the pram. We thought she had been a bit quiet when we looked down to find out that she had fallen asleep on the front. Don't know how she managed to balance herself there, but she sleep for about 30 minutes in this position. So cute.
Charlotte loves spending time with her cousins, especially Emma. These girls will be trouble when they get older. I hate to think of all the mischief they will get up to.
Olivia is now five months old and such a delight. She started rolling over about a month ago and has not stopped since. She is alot more alert and her face lights up whenever she sees Charlotte. She also knows when you leave the room and has no trouble letting you know that she does not like it!
Holy snakes!
On the weekend, we took Charlotte to the local Carnivale where she happily patted a huge python. The next morning at home, we were faced with a python of our own. It looked to be eyeing off our bird feeder (well, actually the birds that visit the bird feeder). Luckily for us, Phil relocated the snake back to the bush, although every time I step outside now, I look up at the rafters just to make sure.

Olivia's christening
We celebrated Olivia's christening on Sunday and we could not have asked for a nicer day surrounded by family and fantastic weather. Olivia managed to behave very well in church and seemed to enjoy the water being poured over her head. She fell asleep in my arms just as we were leaving the church and she looked so precious.
We invited everyone back to our place for some lunch and drinks. Charlotte had a great time running around with all her cousins and Olivia pretty much slept through most of the afternoon celebrations (including a very yummy christening cake).
My brother Brett and his wife Kate are Olivia's godparents (and of course, you can't take a photo without all the girls wanting to get in on the action).
