Australia Day

What better way to kick off Australia Day than with a sleep in. Charlotte loves hopping under the covers on our bed. The girl is definitely not afraid of the dark.

In her Australia Day get-up (including a couple of tattoos).

Australia Day was also Operation Chicken Coup Relocation. Here is Phil getting ready to relocate the chicken run to make way for a new playground for Charlotte which is our first major project at the new house.

Charlotte loves checking the chicken coup every day and seeing how many eggs there are.

Helping daddy with the digging.

A photo of our very inviting pool on Australia Day. Temperatures reached more than 33 degrees so much of the afternoon was spent in the pool.
A couple more photos of the new place.

And what do you eat on Australia Day? Vegemite, of course!

A kangaroo come and visited our back fence. If you look closely, you can see a joey in her pouch.

It can be done!

It only last a few second, but here is photographic evidence that you can actually put a hair clip in Charlotte's hair (but it had to be on the condition that mummy also put clips in her hair).

Home Sweet Home

It feels like we have finally settled into the new house. There is still alot of work to do but it is feeling more like home everyday.

I love looking out the kitchen window and seeing all the birds that call our place home.

Charlotte is a real water baby. A little too confident in the water. You just have to mention the pool and she starts to take her clothes off.

She looks so old in this photo. She seems to have grown really tall overnight.

With Daddy at the park down our street.

Ready to hit the village. She now poses for the camera.

One of the many creatures around our house. And still she shows no fear of animals ...
She is nude in this photo as we have started to toilet train her. Given it is summer and we were both home over the Christmas break, we thought we would give it a go. And to our surprise she has done really well. She even wears knickers to day care now. Just another sign that she is really growing up (a little too fast for me).
