Is it really August already?

About three weeks ago we started renovations on both Charlotte's room and the new nursery> Needless to say that we are still going. But progress is being made. Up to painting now and then carpet cleaning and some screens. Should then be about to move everything back in. Poor Charlotte has been sleeping in the study for the past three weeks.

This will be the nursery.

This is Charlotte's room. So nice to get rid of the pink walls!

Charlotte really does love the chickens and is always trying to pick them up. She particualrly loves 'Brownie' - yes, the chickens are named after their colours which works except we have two white chickens.

This is what happens when Charlotte tries to pick up Brownie.

If at first you don't succeed, try again!

One of the best sights in the morning ... fresh eggs! The yolks are so yellow. Charlotte has also figured out that the chicken she eats are similar to the chickens at home but she doesn't seem to mind.

One of my closest girlfriends had a baby a couple of weeks ago. Reminds you how small babies are - you forget so quickly.
Mum and I admire baby Ayla. On the way home, Charlotte, out of the blue, said, "I love baby Ayla".

This is the best time of the day ... when I get to lay on Charlotte's bed with her and read books.

Cousin Imogen came for a sleep over the other week. Charlotte loved it - she is going to Imogen's house this weekend for a sleep over as Phil and I have a fundraiser to go to.
Down at the dam feeding the perch.

If Imogen had a stick, Charlotte had to have a stick. Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

On her monkey bars. You really have to watch her now as she will just swing out there without you watching and then fall into the sand pit below.
