Easter time

I was a little smarter this year and didn't put the eggs out until the last minute (we haven't forgotten the melted egg incident on 2010). Charlotte had fun looking for the eggs but surprisingly hasn't eaten that many. I gave her free reign on Easter Sunday but only had a few little eggs and maybe one or two medium eggs (which she didn't finish so I happily did the honours!).

I love that the girls now have baths together. It is such a special time. Charlotte loves washing Olivia and singing songs to her and Olivia just beams every time she sees Charlotte. Having a sister myself, I am so glad that C and O will share such a bond (until such time as they start stealing each other's boyfriends and clothes!).

We spent Good Friday at the coast, and sure enough, the girls thought it was still hot enough o go for a swim. I can't believe C is still swimming in the middle of Autumn.

Love!

Olivia is such a happy baby and is so generous with her smiles (much more than C ever was).

Party Girl

Charlotte has been to alot of parties lately. One weekend, she went to three. If this is any indication of what things will be like when she starts school, I don't know what we are going to do. We were all so exhausted. And poor Olivia got dragged to all of them. Two of the parties were for kids at her day care. It is interesting to see the friendships she chooses to make rather than the kids she plays with because they are family friends. Her and two other girls at day care are so close and do everything together. It is all we hear about when we pick her up. The parents of the other girls agree that the three of them are particularly close.

This is Charlotte at Annabel's party. This was the last one of the three parties she went to that weekend and I was quite impressed that she still had energy.

And here she is at the start of the weekend at Mikey's party. Loads of energy for the parachute game. Everytime I change the sheets on the beds at home, she wants to play the parachute game.

Wherever the cake is, Charlotte is not far away. Always managed to position herself next to the birthday kid!

Finally some time in the park near home. She wears gum boots everywhere at the moment - I can't be bothered fighting her on this one.

Who says you can't swim in April

The weather is still nice enough to swim so on the weekend Charlotte went back to the Rockpools with her cousins. She also went to her first ever movie at the cinemas and hasn't stopped talking about it ever since!

All the girl cousins enjoying an ice block at the Rockpools.

Olivia was happy enough laying in her capsule.

So much fun to be had.

Back at Nanny's, it was time for yet another swim.

Cupcakes

These are the cupcakes I made for C's birthday. Still can't bring myself to do any baking since her party.

More party photos

All ready to party.

Three is a magic number

Last week we celebrated Charlotte's third birthday. As fun as it was, I think it will be awhile before I bake another cake. I made one for her actual birthday, one for her birthday party and then cupcakes to take to day care. Sick of cake mix.

We had her party at the Trevena Glen Farm just down the road. She had so much fun. When we first got there, she was yelling out, "Friends, I am ready for you to come now!" She got to ride a pony, bottle feed the goats and pig, cuddle some chickens and go on a hay ride.

The birthday cake - it all disappeared except for one slice.

Feeding the pig.

Cuddling the chickens with Sean, Maja and Molly.

Cousin Gracie was all smiles.

Sarah, Rachel and Nic on the hay ride.

Feeding the goats.

The pony ride was a hit.

Back to the barn for some treats.

This was the butterfly cake we had on her actual birthday. Gracie came for a sleep over. Needless to say, they had a late night.

Gracie and a startled Olivia.

We found this green tree frog in our bin so we decided to relocate him to the garden.

And let's not forget Miss O, who is doing great and such a blessing.
